Capsoul began with a letter my dad never got to finish.
In 2015, I lost my dad. He was 49. I was the oldest of five.
In the final week of his life, he began writing a letter for each of his children. On the day he passed away — 13th March 2015 — he had just started writing mine. He never got to finish it.
My siblings have their letters. I don't. And to this day, I still don't know what he wanted to say.
That experience stayed with me, but Capsoul isn't only about what happens at the end of life. It is about keeping more of life while we're living it — the voices, photographs, stories, jokes, messages and little moments we assume we'll always remember.

What is Capsoul?
Capsoul is a place to preserve the photos, videos, voice messages and stories that matter to you. Keep memories for yourself, share them with people you love or create a Capsoul to open at a future moment.
Is Capsoul free to use?
Capsoul is a paid subscription service, with no general free plan. Standard monthly membership is £4.99. A £3.99-per-month Founding Member offer is available to the first 1,000 eligible members, subject to availability. You can also choose an annual option. The applicable price is shown before checkout.
What can I save in a Capsoul?
You can preserve written messages, photographs, voice recordings and videos. Choose the format that best captures the memory, from a short voice note to an important family story.
Can I record a voice message for my children or family?
Yes. Capsoul supports voice recordings, so you can save your own words and share them with the people who matter to you, now or for a future moment.
Can I schedule a Capsoul to open in the future?
Yes. When creating a Capsoul, you can choose a future date for it to become available. It can be used for birthdays, anniversaries and other meaningful occasions.
Can I keep a memory private?
Yes. You can create memories for yourself and decide when you want to share them. Review the sharing and recipient choices when creating each Capsoul.
Can I create a shared memory with family and friends?
Yes. Capsoul supports collaborative Moments, giving invited people a way to contribute their own memories to a shared occasion.
How does someone receive a Capsoul?
When you create a Capsoul for another person, you provide their recipient details, such as an email address or Capsoul Address. Recipients can use Capsoul to access Capsouls intended for them when they become available; sign-in or identity checks may be needed.
Can I use Capsoul on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Capsoul runs in your phone’s web browser and can be added to your Home Screen. On iPhone use Safari; on Android use Chrome. Follow our installation instructions below.
Do I need the App Store or Google Play to install Capsoul?
No. Capsoul is currently available as an installable web app. Open app.capsoul.co.uk in your phone’s browser and follow the steps in the Install section.
Will Capsoul work without an internet connection?
The installed app can open a limited offline experience, but an internet connection is required to sync, upload or retrieve content that is not already available on your device. Do not rely on offline mode as a separate backup of your memories.
Can I change or cancel my subscription?
Capsoul subscriptions are managed through your account’s billing options. Review your renewal terms and any changes before confirming. If you need help, email hello@capsoul.co.uk.
What is the Living Will feature?
Living Will is a personal planning space for important wishes, messages and practical guidance you want to keep for the future. It is not a substitute for professional legal advice or a formally executed will.
Is Capsoul private and how is my information used?

How can I contact Capsoul for support?
